The Protest Against The Chic-fil-A Traditional Marriage Position

Nobody should be abused, threatened, harassed, or denied rights stated in the U.S. Constitution. Nobody at Chic-fil-A, including Dan Cathy has done any of those things.

But with the articles that are blasting across the web and blogs geared toward all things homosexual, you’d think that’s what happened.

Cathy stated his and Chic-fil-A’s “position” on a subject that goes to moral foundation. He said that the company is supportive of the Biblical definition of the family unit. You know, that unique and unheard of position that “normal” means a man and a woman. What a travesty!

After the inevitable investigations into their hiring practices, it was determined that CFA does not discriminate in its hiring practices. In other words, homosexuals work in various positions in CFA stores across the country.

Homosexuals can own a Chic-fil-A franchise. It has nothing to do with their sexual orientation.

All the rancor is coming in response to Dan Cathy’s affirmation that he and his company hold a traditional view of marriage, which is between a man and woman.

Now how unusual is that?!

Do we really want LGBT running the show?

News agencies are throwing quotes up from LGBT organizations that are against the company’s survival now that Cathy has said they are for normal human relationships in marriage.

By the way, in case you don’t know what it stands for, LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender. Now isn’t that a bunch you’d like to have come visit your kids?

I’ll tell you what, if I ever open a food franchise, I’ll be happy to do without business from lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender customers if they think my position on marriage is abominable. Otherwise they’d be welcome to come in and eat with everybody else.

And that’s the real position of Chic-fil-A. Private homosexuality is not the issue. Homosexuality becoming an acceptable “norm” in the U.S. is the issue. Gays’ insistence on new laws and special constitutional provisions are not going to fly with America.

What the LGBT community has done is caused identifiable Christians, conservatives and just plain decent people to converge on the side of Chic-fil-A.

Chic Fil A’s Future

Here’s my prediction. Chic-fil-A’s business across the U.S. is about to expand beyond anything imagined or projected by the company.

This is not about hate. It’s about not accepting anything and everything that any group of people want to normalize to make them feel better. Chic-fil-A has taken a stand for decency. That’s something a majority of Americans can get solidly behind.

Since the Christian Gun Owner web site has hit the Huffington Post in the past, I’ll just say this for the sake of James Peron, their resident defender of male manlovers. Your statements are stupid, irrelevant and erroneous. Nobody in the Chic-fil-A company has done anything to take away your or any of your fellow same sex lovers’ rights.

That’s clear because the rights you insist you are being denied, based solely on sexual orientation, don’t exist.

The Clear Position of Chic-fil-A Towards People

“The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” Donald Perry, vice president of corporate public relations, said in a statement.

That’s about people. The Dan Cathy statement was a correct one about Biblical marriage. Both right.

Very good piece. I’m tired of LGBT being rammed in my face every day.

It was good to see so many decent Americans, behaving civilized, patiently waiting for their food while exercising and supporting their rights and the right of free speech by Mr. Cathy.
